Shaped by our maritime climate’s mild summers and tempered by the foggy mist rolling off of Discovery Bay, our cider apples contribute complex aromas, tannins and acids to our award winning Alpenfire estate grown heritage cider. We invite you to stop by and try some soon.

We hope you’ll include Alpenfire in your Olympic Peninsula adventure. A few things to keep in mind when you visit us by Discovery Bay:

  • We love kids — they’re always welcome — and we ask that you keep them close by your side. We’re a working orchard and cidery with a very active driveway—safety for your little ones is our first concern

  • We love dogs, but we share our orchard with many creatures native the area—including deer, rabbits, coyotes, and eagles—and sometimes the temptation proves to be too much for our four-legged friends. If they do travel with you, we ask that you please keep them on leash

  • Please picnic with us! Picnic tables are available for your use near the tasting room and in the orchard, and bottles of award winning Alpenfire cider are available for sale in the tasting room

  • If you join us for a tour please keep in mind that it includes a gentle walk of under one mile: There’s very little slope in the orchard, but the ground may be uneven in places. Please wear shoes that don’t mind a little mud

  • You must be 21+ to enjoy our award winning cider—because when we say cider, we mean hard cider

Alpenfire is a small batch cidery and family farm, and we all share the work: Bear tends the orchard, Nancy makes the cider, our son Philippe markets the business, and our grandkids make frequent appearances.
