Alpenfire Today - Newlsetter 3/24

Dear Friends of Alpenfire,

We would like to thank everyone who has supported us over the years by visiting our orchard, joining our cider club, sitting with us at cider dinners and encouraging us through social media. We are a small family run cidery and like so many others are feeling the extreme pressure of Covid-19. We are struggling right now to finish the fermentation of ciders that we have no idea if we will be able to sell. Our orchard is demanding attention but we are not sure how to prioritize our very limited resources.

In the last two weeks we have lost over 90% of our business. Our tasting room is closed to the public, as are the fantastic restaurants and bars we have relied on as sales channels (for more ways to support our friends in the industry check the links below). Currently our only source of income is limited grocery wholesale and online orders that we have been posting about in our social media threads.

Offers --> link to our bottle shop • 3-5 bottles - 50% off shipping • 6 bottles or more - Free shipping • Curbside pick up at the orchard with a phone call or email. • Seattle area doorstep drop off for 6 or more bottles (reach out to info@alpenfirecider.com for more info on that).

The long term impact of this unprecedented closure is unknown. But if you have the need for really spectacular, unique and organic cider we can get it to you! And rest assured that we are following all the safe packaging guidelines (and more) for the health and safety of our customers. We will be relying on local and online bottle sales as our only source of income and truly appreciate your support. As the year progresses we will, hopefully, be bottling several exciting new single varietals and delicious blends, and will keep you informed.

We hope you and your friends and family are safe, healthy and remain that way as we navigate through this together. When this is all behind us we look forward to a renewed spirit of appreciation for all the events we have had to put on hold and the precious time we get to spend with the people we love.

Thank you, stay healthy and cheers, The Alpenfire Family Bear, Nancy, and Philippe

We have also compiled a list of places currently open for take out, growlers, bottles, etc. We will do our best to keep this list updated but with so many changes it is best to reach out to the place itself. Link to our Blog Post

Our friends in the industry

Below is a selection of restaurants, bars and small shops who have been supporting us and are trying to make a go of it during this crisis. This list will be changing as time moves on and we will do our best to keep it updated. These are not the places that you can currenlty get Alpenfire, these are just places that have been supporting us and we want to help support them so if your looking for our cider please place an order on our website

If you can, please support them by grabbing some food or drinks to go! A lot of these links are to thier social media accounts which have the most recent information.
